Sobremesa turns your child's weekly classwork into a parent-friendly guide: the academic concepts in plain English, the Spanish vocabulary they'll hear in class, and 15-minute activities you can do together. Now you can support their learning and pick up the language alongside them.
Summer is here
A weekly Summer Table of activities, vocabulary, books, and shows tuned to your child's age. So the language doesn't cool off between the last bell of the school year and the first one of the new one.
Why we're called Sobremesa
"The time spent at the table after the meal is finished. Talking, lingering, in no hurry to leave."
There's no English word for it. We named the app after it because that's the kind of time we're trying to give families back — a few minutes a week where the language your child is learning is reason enough to stay at the table a little longer.
How it works
Paste in the email from school, drop a link, or upload a photo of the weekly schedule. We read it for you.
Built around what they're learning that week and tuned to their grade, level, and your family's goals: must-know words, age-right grammar, and a 15-minute activity you can do tonight. You can even help them with math and reading!
Do the activity together, then stick around. Trade notes with other parents in your mesa or your teacher's class group.
Find your seat
A mesa is a small private group on Sobremesa — a place to share lessons, ask questions, and stay in sync. Pick the path that fits you.
Forward the email from school. We turn it into the academic concepts in plain English, the Spanish vocabulary they're hearing in class, and a 15-minute activity for the table — even if you don't speak a word of Spanish.
